: The name under which the academic is best known. This should usually be the same as the article name, and will default to <code><nowiki>{{PAGENAME}}</nowiki></code> if not specified.

: Image. Use the name of the image file only, i.e. do not include "File:".

: Width of the image. Default is <code>frameless</code> and should not normally need to be specified manually.
; alt
: Alt text for the image, for visually impaired readers. See [[WP:ALT]]. It should be specified if '''image''' is specified.

: Caption for image, if necessary; if the image is simply a headshot of the subject, a caption restating the subject's name is unnecessary
