This infobox is for articles on 1-on-1 chess competitions, such as the finals of the [[World Chess Championship]]s.

== Usage ==


===Parameters===
Most parameters are doubled for the information on each competitor, and are indicated by the number "1" or "2". I.e. <code>comp#</code> is actually two parameters, <code>comp1</code> and <code>comp2</code>, for the names of the first and second competitor, respectively. Required parameters are <code>comp1</code>, <code>comp2</code>, <code>score1</code>, and <code>score2</code>.

* <code>header</code> – Name of the competition, defaulting to the page title
* <code>location</code> – Location of the competition
* <code>dates</code> – Date(s) of the competition
* <code>comp#</code> – Names of the competitors
* <code>image#</code> – Competitors' pictures in full image format, i.e. {{elc|File:''filename.ext''|''size''{{!}}''caption''}}
* <code>image</code> - Centered image with both competitors in one picture
* <code>comp#_link</code> – Article link to a competitor (for [[WP:DAB|disambiguation]] or other article name difference)
* <code>flag#</code> – Identifying national flag for each of the competitors
* <code>flag#_variant</code> – Changes the flag to another variant, mainly used for old competitions where a different flag was used. Variants can be found in the relevant country data template, for example [[Template:Country data Russia]]
* <code>flagicon#</code> – Identifying competition flag for competitors from sanctioned countries unable to use their national flag
* <code>flagicon#_link</code> – Link to body represented by competition flag
* <code>flag#_note</code> – notes about the flag a person is competing under, e.g. refugee status, multiple citizenship, or sanctions regime
* <code>dob#</code> – Competitors' dates of birth
* <code>age#</code> – Competitors' ages
* <code>qual#</code> – Competitors' tournament qualification
* <code>elo#</code> – Competitors' [[ELO rating]]
* <code>rank#</code> – Competitors' [[FIDE world rankings]]
* <code>womens_rank#</code> – Competitors' FIDE women's world rankings. Can't be used at the same time as rank.
* <code>elo#_ref</code> – Reference for ELO rating and/or rank
* <code>prev</code> – Previous competition in series display
* <code>prev_link</code> – Link to previous competition (if different)
* <code>next</code> – Next competition in series display
* <code>next_link</code> – Link to next competition (if different)
* <code>prev2</code> and <code>next2</code> - Same as the unnumbered versions when there are multiple predecessors or successors
* <code>score#</code> – Final scores

The following parameters are for the result and length of the individual games in the match.
* <code>game#</code> – Up to 20 game results starting with the result ("<", "-", ">", "/") as the first character followed by either "w" or "b" to indicate whether competitor #1 is playing the white or black pieces, followed by the length of the match.
