| The inventor of the element. ''Do not use'' if there is any doubt about who is credited for inventing it. If this is a case of inventing vs. popularizing, use the following parameter instead. If the element is named for the inventor, use only this parameter.

| Who the element is named for. If the element is named for the inventor, use only the inventor parameter.

| disciplines
| The discipline(s) that the element is used in. Use this only if the element is in one or two disciplines, not all of them. For example, the death spiral is a pair skating element, and a lift is a pair skating and ice dancing element.
