The standard method for specifying the weight is to use {{para|weight|<nowiki>{{convert|x.xx|carat|g}}</nowiki>}}. To have the weight automatically converted, use {{para|carats|x.xx}} or {{para|grams|x.xx}}. If both carats and grams are specified, the template will ignore the measurement in grams, and convert the weight from the value specified in carats.<br />
