==Purpose==
This template is used in articles about alpine, mountain and other types of huts. It was created from an amalgamation of {{tl|Infobox Australian Hut}} and {{tl|Infobox mountain hut}}, as the result of a [[Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2012 March 21#Template:Infobox Australian Hut|discussion]] at [[Wikipedia:Templates for discussion]].

While the template may be used for any type of hut, certain parameters are tailored to [[mountain hut]]s, specifically those in the European [[Alps]]. and [[Bothy|bothies]] in general.
