Delete or comment-out the <code>time, time-begin, time-end</code> and <code>timezone</code> parameters for a multi-day wildfire after the fire is extinguished, as leaving those parameters just causes the template to become cluttered. If the start time and end time are significant, these may instead be described in the body of the article.

==Maps==
This infobox implements [[Template:Location map]] giving two options for displaying a map. You can either supply an image that is a map, such as a briefing map, via {{param|image_map}} OR you can supply a pushpin map that will have a pushpin dropped on it based on the coordinates of the fire (use {{tl|Coord}} in the {{para|coordinates}} parameter). This is done by using {{param|pushpin_map}}. For a full list of available pushpin maps, see: [[:Category:Location map templates]].
